Creative Gate launch

Creative Gate is a dynamic new platform created to support, connect, and empower professionals working in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) across the Western Balkans. It is a place where artists, creatives, organisations, festivals, and cultural venues organisers can come together to share ideas, collaborate across borders, and build a more connected, resilient and sustainable creative ecosystem.

The Western Balkans is home to a rich, diverse, and evolving creative scene. From film, music, and visual arts to architecture, design, and digital innovation—creatives across the region are producing powerful work that reflects both local stories and global conversations. But despite this vibrant landscape, professionals in the CCI sector often face common challenges: limited access to resources, visibility, and opportunities to collaborate beyond borders.

That’s where Creative Gate comes in. This platform is designed to bring CCI professionals closer together, offering tools and spaces for meaningful interaction. Users can connect with peers, share and find opportunities, write blog posts, and stay informed about upcoming events and funding possibilities. Whether you're looking to grow your network, find collaborators for your next project, or simply stay inspired—Creative Gate is your space to do it.

Launched in late 2024, the platform is already building momentum, welcoming users from across the Western Balkans. It marks an important step toward greater regional cooperation, visibility, and sustainability for creative industries.

Creative Gate is more than a website—it’s a hub for creatives who believe in the power of culture to shape communities, challenge perspectives, and drive positive change.

Implementing partners of the Creative Gate project: Exit Foundation (SER) and Taxirat (MKD).

The Creative Gate project was supported by the British Council through the “Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans” project, funded by the European Union. CC4WBs aimed to foster dialogue in the Western Balkans by enhancing the cultural and creative sectors for increased socio-economic impact.
